Privacy

What we collect

• Your name and email address (for research administration; never published).
• Your country of residence and the languages you declare, with proficiency.
• Your IP address — recorded with each submission and in the site's audit log — and your browser's user-agent string.
• The memes you upload (re-encoded; embedded camera/EXIF metadata is stripped for your privacy), their provenance details, and all your annotation answers.
• Consent records: which version of the consent text you agreed to and when.

What is published

The research dataset contains approved memes, their provenance and annotations, and — per contributor — only a pseudonymous identifier plus country of residence and native language(s). Names, emails, IP addresses, and user-agent strings are never included in the dataset.

Deletion and takedown

To request deletion of your account, or takedown of an image, write to ali.habibullah@kaust.edu.sa. On a deletion request your account is deactivated and your personal data (name, email, recorded IPs) is scrubbed; submissions you already contributed are retained in anonymized form, as described in the consent text.
