MC-QUEST contributor consent (version 1)

By creating an account and contributing to MC-QUEST, I affirm and agree to all of the following:

1. Public circulation, no private data in memes. Every meme I upload circulated publicly (on public pages, channels, or widely-shared group content) and contains no private individual's personal information (such as private names, faces of non-public persons presented in a private context, phone numbers, or addresses).

2. Research license. I grant the MC-QUEST project a worldwide, non-exclusive license to store, annotate, and redistribute the images I upload and the answers I provide, for research purposes. My annotation answers are licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 (Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike).

3. Data collected about me. I understand that my IP address is recorded with each submission, and that my name and email address are stored for research administration. My name and email are never included in the published research dataset; contributors appear there only as a pseudonymous identifier together with country of residence and native language(s).

4. Deletion. I may request deletion at any time by writing to the contact address shown in the site footer. My account will then be deactivated and my personal data (name, email, recorded IP addresses) scrubbed, while submissions and answers I already contributed are retained in anonymized form as part of the research dataset.
